    Impact of COVID-19 on Management of Tuberculosis and Strategies to Mitigate

    Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection, killing more than 1.5 million people per year. In spite of the global TB programmes and various national efforts to end TB, the final result which is ‘A world free of TB’ is yet to be achieved. All the health organizations are now looking towards the mitigation of the SARS-CoV-2 (Coronavirus disease). This causes massive interruptions of the TB control diversion of personnel, equipment and funding of COVID-19 over TB. The consequence for the undiagnosed and non-treated TB might be unimaginable, especially in countries like India where TB is an endemic illness.
