    The main purpose of treating an immature tooth with an open apex is to maintain vitality and continuity of normal root formation. Vital pulp therapy is aimed at maintaining the pulp's vitality, and dentinogenic potential, inducing complete root growth, formation of reparative dentin, thicker radicular dentin, and apical closure.
