    A Rare Case of Thoracic Disc Prolapse at D1-D2 Level Presented with Right Shoulder Pain Managed by Disc Discectomy

    Aim: The main aim of the study is to prospectively analyse the functional outcome of thoracic disc prolapse at D1-D2 level presented with right shoulder pain managed by disc discectomy. Methods: A prospective analysis of 10 patients (6 men and 4 women, with mean age 35 years) with anatomic classification thoracic disc prolapse at D1-D2 level presented with right shoulder pain managed by disc discectomy. Procedure between July 2019 and July 2021 was performed. The outcomes were studied based on Neurological Assessment Score (NAS) and Visual Analog Score (VAS). Results: The mean NAS and VAS at the interval of 3 weeks, 5 weeks, 7 weeks, 6 months, 1 year shows excellent improvement. The mean VAS score is 8.8 and NAS is excellent.
