Predictive Factors for Participation in Colorectal Cancer Screening: A Systematic Review

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the prevalent diseases that can be diagnosed timely using appropriate screening programs. This study aimed to review the predictive factors for participation in colorectal cancer screening. Methods: International databases including PubMed, ISI and Scopus were considered for search of English articles by 30 December, 2018. Thirty-one published articles were finally entered into the study. Keywords were “colorectal cancer”, “colorectal neoplasm”, “predictor”, “screening”, “Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT)”, “Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT)”, “education”, “smoking”, “obesity” or a combination of them in the title/abstracts.
