    The Impact of Fixed Orthodontic Appliance on Oxidative Stress and Gingival Health Condition

    Aim: The aim of this study was to find out the effect of orthodontic treatment on the oxidative stress of patients with fixed orthodontic appliance in relation to the gingival health condition. Material and Method: The subject population consisted of 31 participants who were in need of orthodontic treatment with fixed orthodontic appliances. Saliva samples were obtained from all individuals before treatment, at 1st month of treatment and at 3rd months of treatment. Clinical oral hygiene and Gingival (GI) parameters were measured.
