A Study on Platelet Indices in Controlled and Uncontrolled Hypertensive and Diabetic Subjects

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) commonly referred as a Diabetes; a clinical syndrome characterized by an increase in blood glucose concentration (hyperglycaemia). The symptom of hyperglycaemia includes polyuria, polydipsia, polyphagia, weight loss, tiredness, and blurred vision. Diabetes Mellitus associated with microvascular (retinopathy, nephropathy, and neuropathy, that can either be peripheral neuropathy (i.e., sensory loss, pain, motor weakness) or autonomic neuropathy) and macrovascular (coronary artery disease (CAD), peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and cerebrovascular disease (CVD)) complications.
