Economic Disparities in Dental Care Access in the United States: A Systematic Literature Review

There are large economic gaps in the US when it comes to dental care access, which disproportionately affects underprivileged and low-income groups. The objective of this systematic literature review is to evaluate and summarize the current body of knowledge about the differences in access to dental care based on economic status. This study will examine the correlation between dental preferences and income, the differences in oral health outcomes across socioeconomic groups, and the obstacles to dental access that stem from a combination of cultural, geographic, and economic reasons.
