Background: The use of a conventional implant loading protocol to replace missing teeth has been recorded for a longer period of time. Through developments in clinical techniques and implant surface modification, the treatment modalities have switched to shortening the healing time after surgery and regaining normal function in order to meet the functional and cosmetic needs of patients.
