    Pathogenesis, Clinical Characteristics, Quality Of Life And Management Approach Among Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)

    Introduction: PCOS is most common hormonal disturbance affecting 6%-20% of reproductive age women, considered multifaceted with spectrum of conditions including menstrual irregularities, acne, hair loss, obesity and hirsutism. Moreover, PCOS is also the cause of adverse cardiovascular, metabolic, reproductive and psychological approaches for reduction in QOL. This review will help females understand responsible factors for PCOS incidence, its health consequences and management needed. Methodology: The literature reviewed in this narrative article is obtained from various databases such as Google, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science using MeSH-compliant keywords including PCOS, Rotterdam criteria, QOL, PCOS management and consulting related books.
